Deceivingly simple yet energetically complex, the music of Wind River Revival is a captivating force that rides the dimension between knowing and telling, between poetry and Rock n’ Roll. Born in 2019, the Los Angeles three piece muses inspiration from classic indie, folk, blues, and rock, creating a satisfying blend. Chantelle Matthews (lead vocals, guitar), Matthew Shores (lead guitar, vocals), and Jessica Goodwin (drums) pen all compositions together, forming a familiar, magnetic soundtrack for the magical mess that is life.

Wind River Revival’s first EP (2020) consists of four songs that take you on a journey of friendship, hardship, and personal evolution. With heavy textures and a simple drumbeat driving a flood of energy, the three are perfectly in sync, delivering reality straight up. As the lightness in Chantelle’s voice and lyrics draw you in, you quickly realize it’s your reality, your story, too. Following the EP, the trio came out with the empowered track ‘Hills Reprise’ (2021), a true anthemic testimony to letting go of what no longer serves you. In every song, WRR manages to evade any sort of presumption, unlike its mainstream counterparts that force you into sing-a-along with repetitive hooks; you become addicted to Wind River Revival songs simply because you want to feel what they're feeling.

With compelling songwriting and performances, it’s a wonder that lead singer Chantelle began making music only a few years ago. Growing up in the Wind River Valley of Wyoming, she sings us an intimate picture of the hardships she endured growing up. Drummer Jessica Goodwin’s minimalistic yet foundational playing carries the band into the genre of rock n’ roll with both passion and skill. California native Matthew Shores is both a prolific songwriter and multi-instrumentalist for the band. He also serves as their in-house engineer, recording them through 2020 as they honed in on their true sound.

Wind River Revival’s music brings relief and togetherness, connecting us via the emotions that need the most expressing. Angsty dance breaks and dreamy moments line up against a colorful, gritty narrative. Their distinct, yet unpredictable sound continues to evolve with each coming release, making their mark in the classic genre that is Rock n’ Roll.
